Mi investigación ahonda en la relación entre la vainas y el residuo, entre la sociedad occidental capitalista y el turismo, a la vez que profundiza en conceptos como el de memoria y el de museo como contenedor de esa memoria, que reflexiona sobre el pasado lejano y sobre la idea de exótico, sobre lo útil, lo apreciado, lo descartado y el despojo; analizando también la historia y quién y por qué la escribe, acercándome a ciencias sociales como la antropología, la etnografía y la arqueología.
My research is related to the vanitas and with the residue, tries to be a new path that delves into the relationship between this Western capitalist society and tourism, while digging into concepts such as memory and museum as a container of that memory, which reflects on the distant past and on the idea of exotic, on the useful, the appreciated, the discarded and the dispossessed, examining from what perspective something is such, from what culture, from what knowledge and experience.
